SystmOne Training Sessions for new starters

Please complete this SystmOne Training Booking Request form and a trainer will contact you to book you onto an appropriate session. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email DHCFT.EprTrainers@nhs.net.

Staff must have a valid Trust login/NHS.net email and access to a Trust computer or laptop (with remote access enabled is accessing from home) to take part in the training, which is hands on using the demo version of SystmOne, but delivered via MS Teams.

SystmOne 'Top Up' Training (for staff who have previously attended student/non-qualified training but are now qualified)

If you're a recently qualified member of staff who has started with the Trust, you're welcome to attend one of the full day core sessions (see link to request above) but if you already feel confident using the basic aspects of SystmOne, we can arrange a shorter 'Top Up' style session for you, which will cover all the aspects of your new qualified role. Please email DHCFT.EPRTrainers@nhs.net to organise a session.

SystmOne Refresher Training

If you have a member of staff who has not accessed the system for a period of 6 months (or longer) they will be required to attend a refresher training session with one of the trainers. Please email DHCFT.EprTrainers@nhs.net to organise a refresher session.

SystmOne Training Sessions for Students

Please use the following link to book students onto training: SystmOne Student Training Request

If you're a student who is on placement within Substance Misuse, Children's Services, Community Paediatrics or the Mental Health Triage Hub then you will need to email DHCFT.EprTrainers@nhs.net to be booked onto an appropriate training session.

Students will also need a Smartcard to access the system - if they have not already requested one, they will need to request one here. The placement facilitators would normally do this prior to students starting placement, please contact them if you require further assistance: dhcft.studentaccountqueries@nhs.net

We would suggest that Trainee Clinical Psychologists attend a core training session and not a student session, you can request to book onto a core session using this booking link: SystmOne Training Booking Request.

Training sandpit and workbooks

The OnEPR training sandpit is a training version of SystmOne. While it is not exactly the same as the live system, it is a great place to practise as most of the functionality is the same.

The workbooks listed below explain how to log in to the training sandpit using special training accounts. The workbooks also contain training exercises. One of the exercises involves registering a patient from scratch, for you to use as your 'practice patient'. You can then continue the exercises from there.

If you have any problems accessing the training sandpit or with training accounts, please email dhcft.eprtrainers@nhs.net
